Hal is a relative newcomer to the Coast Guard Auxiliary but no stranger to boating. Hal has definitely been an active member, having previously served as FSO-PE (Public Education), FSO-IS (Information Services) and as the Division IS officer. He has been a sailor and power boater for over 40 years and has raced sail boats and cruised all the islands and harbors along the Southern California coast from Santa Barbara to Ensenada. He currently owns a 42’ trawler named Santosha.
