Originally from Philadelphia, with no boating experience what so ever, Josh first joined the Auxiliary in early 2010 with a desire to find a way to serve his community and country. Through help and mentoring by his fellow shipmates, Josh has been able to become more active. With Public Education being stated as “Mission One” of the Auxiliary, he proudly and excitedly took the leadership position of FSO-PE. Furthermore, with his love of writing, Josh gladly accepted the responsibilities with editing and publishing the newsletter "The Weather Gauge," and other tasks of the FSO-PB position. He is ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 certified, and currently pursuing VE, PV, and Boat Crew certification. Josh is also a proud member of Flotilla 12-04's Color Guard.
